Scott Kepler

Scott Kepler is the Founder and President of Mortgage Approval Group, LLC and has worked in mortgage lending for more than 25 years.

Throughout his career, Scott has helped homebuyers, homeowners, real estate investors and real estate professionals navigate a wide range of financing scenarios. His experience includes Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, Reverse and HECM mortgages, HELOCs, home equity loans, renovation financing, condo financing, and specialized mortgage programs for self-employed borrowers and clients with nontraditional income.

Scott founded Mortgage Approval Group around a simple principle: borrowers and mortgage professionals both benefit when they have access to more options, better resources and experienced guidance. As an independent mortgage brokerage, Mortgage Approval Group works with a broad network of wholesale lenders, giving its loan officers the ability to evaluate multiple financing solutions rather than being limited to the products of a single lender.

In addition to originating mortgages, Scott has spent much of his career in leadership, sales management and the development of mortgage professionals. He believes successful loan officers need more than access to competitive loan products—they need practical coaching, strong systems, effective marketing strategies, reliable operational support and someone they can turn to when a challenging loan scenario arises.

Scott takes an active role in coaching and mentoring loan officers in areas including business development, referral-partner relationships, sales strategy, mortgage product knowledge, loan structuring, technology and the day-to-day challenges of building a sustainable mortgage business. His approach emphasizes helping loan officers develop their own business rather than simply providing a place to originate loans.

That philosophy also influences the way Mortgage Approval Group continues to grow. The company is focused on building an environment where experienced mortgage professionals can maintain their independence while benefiting from the lender access, technology, guidance and resources of an established brokerage.

Scott continues to work directly with clients and referral partners, which keeps him closely connected to the challenges loan officers face in today's mortgage market. His experience with complex financing scenarios—including self-employment, bank statement income, rental income, investment properties, high-value homes, financial assets and alternative qualification strategies—also allows him to serve as a resource when another loan officer needs help finding a solution for a difficult transaction.

Throughout his career, Scott has been recognized as a Company MVP and as both a monthly and quarterly Top Producer. More important than individual recognition, however, is the reputation he has built for clear communication, problem-solving and helping both clients and mortgage professionals achieve their goals.
